The Quiksilver Rastafaride Jacket is named after a series of 8 freestyle skiing movies created by Candide Thovex titled ‘Rastafaride’. In 1997 Thovex signed to Quiksilver (at only 15 years old) as a professional freestyle skier, winning several competitions with the brand before suffering an injury that led him to starting his first production company in 2001. That same year he released the first film titled ‘Rastafaride’ which went on to sell 10,000 copies worldwide.
